Rip Curl Pro

The 2010 Rip Curl Pro Surf and Music Festival presented by Snickers.

The Rip Curl Pro is stop number two of the ASP World Tour this year. All the worlds' best male and female surfers will be in town, thrilling spectators on the beach and on the World Wide Web alike as they throw themselves at big Southern Ocean swells Huey will bless us with over Easter.

While prize money, ratings points and bragging rights are up for grabs, every surfer on the Dream Tour has their eyes fixed sharply on the infamous Bell trophy. They dream, crave and yearn for the unique opportunity to lift up that Bell and ring the neck off it.

Reigning ASP World Champion winner Mick Fanning will be leading the Aussie assault at Bells, along with defending champion Joel Parkinson and 2007 winner Taj Burrow. Nine-time ASP World Champ Kelly Slater will be searching for his fourth Rip Curl Pro title and three-time ASP World Champ Andy Irons is returning from a one-year break and keen for a third Bells win.

This year's Rip Curl Women's Pro presented by Ford Fiesta has produced the most exciting field of female surfers we have ever witnessed in Australia, headlined by reigning three-time ASP Women's World Champion Stephanie Gilmore. However, Brazilian Silvana Lima comes to Bells as the defending champion, after ruining Gilmore's try at three straight Rip Curl Pro wins in the final last year.

The Bells Live Music Stage will fire up on Easter Saturday and Sunday, with the adjoined Toohey's Extra Dry and Jim Beam bar the best vantage point to keep one eye on the lineup and one ear on the music. Tickets can be purchased at the Bells Beach ticket office onsite from March 30.

The Blues Train

Victoria's historic coastal town of Queenscliff is home to the world's one and only Blues Train. It is a unique experience that combines four of Australia's best live acts and the beautiful scenery of the Bellarine Peninsula on the Drysdale Railway line while aboard a real moving vintage steam train. It is one of Australia's most spectacular entertainment experiences - it is a mini-festival in one night and a progressive party you'll never forget.

Nothing captures the spirit of the blues quite like a steam train. Listening to the train whistle and the clickety-clack on the tracks you can imagine the old blues masters jamming it up on Mississippi freight trains as they were 'ridin' the blinds' around America's deep south.

The Blues Train leaves Queenscliff Railway Station after guests have enjoyed a delicious meal complemented by fine Australian and local wines. The steam train then makes its way along 16 kilometres of track, gently rocking from side to side, seemingly in beat with the music.

At each of the stops, Suma Park and Drysdale, revellers swap carriages to see another of the acts, so by the end of the night patrons have seen all four acts performing on the train. Drinks are available from the mobile bar that miraculously appears on each platform (from the converted guard's van). You can sit back, relax and listen to the music with a drinking one of the seated carriages or get up and boogie the blues away in one of the dance carriages.

Royal Geelong Show

The Royal Geelong Show is the biggest four day show in country Victoria. People come from all walks of life, growers of produce and animals, creators of craft, artists, musicians, entertainers and many more to meet, show and share ideas.

Celebrate with fireworks on Friday and Saturday nights, with displays and entertainment galore. Enjoy a taste of the country at the 2010 Royal Geelong Show.
